While the modular design makes transport and storage simple, it’s worth noting that the interlocking pieces use latches located underneath, so the kayak needs to be rolled on its side to connect and disconnect them. Its wide profile adds stability on the water, but also means each section is a bit heavier—still manageable for one person to carry, just not as light as narrower models. Thanks to its width, the Rocket is best suited for medium-sized cars, offering a practical balance between portability and performance.
