  • Mounts

    This kayak has three options to mount a trolling motor if you're looking at powered options. A motor can be mounted in the pedal Pedal Power recess, on a side bar to the left or right of the rear cargo hold or by replacing the rudder.

  • Assembly

    Our Rapido uses an interlocking system with the front section interlocking into the rear and has added security of 2 latches underneath and two latches on top.

  • Seating

The Rapido is the longest solo modular kayak in the Reel Yaks range and it's built for anglers who fish big open water — large lakes, coastal bays, wide rivers — where hull length translates directly to distance per stroke. If your typical session involves long paddles to remote spots, the Rapido covers ground noticeably faster than the 9.8ft and 10ft models.

The Rapido splits into two sections — both about 65″ × 35″ × 11–12.5″, each weighing roughly 35 lbs. The sections fit in the trunk or back seat of most SUVs, hatchbacks, and many sedans without a roof rack. The longer section measurements mean it's worth checking your specific vehicle's cargo dimensions before purchase.

The Rapido is 0.8ft longer (10.8 vs 10) and slightly heavier. The extra hull length improves tracking and speed on open water. Both are 35-inch wide stand-up stable hulls. Choose the Rapido for distance-focused fishing on big water; choose the Radar for the most popular all-around solo.

Yes. The 35-inch wide hull provides standing stability for most anglers up to about 230 lbs in calm to moderate water. The longer hull also tracks straighter when standing, which makes it easier to hold a position while casting.

Yes. The Rapido has a transducer recess in the hull that accepts a standard puck transducer — no drilling required. Wiring routes through the scupper holes. Compatible with Lowrance, Garmin, and Humminbird puck transducers.

Yes, returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery provided the kayak is unused and in original condition. Before returning any item, you must contact our support team to obtain a Return Authorization (RA).

For the value of what I paid compare to others I’m not complaining but I will have a few complaints. First off, the damn cup holder is in the worse spot ever. It conflicts with the rudder. Picture for reference. That’s my biggest complaint. I wear a size 10 and for a great foot position on the pedals my feet rubs the orange foam and squeaks like SpongeBobs boots everytime. You have to slouch kinda in your seat to get a good pedaling position. One of my clamps was bent but thank god they gives you a spare replacement one. Also while assembled, it’s freaking heavy. Like extremely heavy. Better to assemble right next to the water but heavy isn’t bad because it’s good material. All in all, I’m happy with my purchase. With just some adjusting and adjustments it will be perfect for my needs.
